Giving it away would be OK, but I think getting it back would be creepy.

I would never bother with such a place.

There is a very nice small garage down the street from my house. The guy knows what he is doing and only charges $25 to change the oil on my friends truck. He is quick to, why bother messing with those Jiffy Lube idiots?

He does MB's as well. Of course since they use $50 worth of oil, the price is a bit different.
$75ish most certainly is a fair price for an oil change on one of these cars.
Figure $40-$50 for the oil, and $10-$15 for the filter.

I use a Jiffy Screw because it is about 1/2 mile from my house.

I guess if they are decent. Do they even use Mobil 1?

I just hate those places, never set foot in one. Won't if I can help it.

Don;t think so. When I go to the one near my house, They charge something like $15 for a change if the "guest" uses his own oil and filter. For my MB, I DIY because it can be parked in the garage. Besides, they don't have MB filters on hand. For the truck, I send it to them with supplies in hand. 15 quarts is a lot for disposal.

If they don't screw it up thats not bad at all. I'd gladly pay someone $15 to do it.

IF is a big word. But you are right. With an MB tho, you have the belly pan and all that. IF I had to go there, I take the belly pan bolts off and tell them to let me screw the bolt in myself.

Nah if I had one with belly pans I'd suck it out the dip stick. Did this on my friends S320. It is silly how easy it is! It got 8 quarts or whatver the spec was out, so it works.
