82 300SD no blower or a/c
I vaguely remember reading in the archives about another fuse for the climate control in the dash somewhere other than the fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Am I correct? If so does anyone know where it is?
I have no blower and the compressor is not kicking on. System is fully charged. No power at the pressure switch to bypass for the compressor to kick on. #11 fuse for compressor and blower is good and 12v is present at that terminal. Blower works with 12v directly to it. 50c temp switch to engage ccu is working. It seems to be stuck in heat (seeping through the vents) but not blowing so I guess the monovalve is not getting the signal it needs either. |
Replace fuse #10. Clean the terminal ends.
See what it does. |
That did it. Thanks Brian!! I have not worked on a 126 really only the 123. I learned that one the hard way. I will put everything back together and read the entire fuse box next time.

Excellent.
Help is what we do here. |
How did your fuse look?
on my car, the fuse bodies melt away in a few days of running the blower, but I got a lot of leaves and stuff in the firewall cavity that I need to remove, check the page I posted about my fuse failing...
I got pictures. |
