What year did MB switch to synthetic fuel lines?
What year did MB switch to synthetic fuel lines?
Also someone asked me about fuel lines on a 95 E300D, and which size lines he would need. Does anyone know were I can find fuel line specs, or would one of you with a 95 E300D share your info. Thanks

My research before I bought my diesel said 1985 was the magic year -- before that one had to replace all the fuel lines. Also, the old lines won't dissolve overnight, just over time, so it isn't required before you run bioD (any leaks that do happen suddenly were there already).
I bought a kit from www.greaseworks.org for mine. Expensive, but everythihng is precut and all the clamps are include along with three pages of directions. If you need help knowing what to do, I recommend their kits, else get the parts and go for it.

It doesnt matter what fuel lines you use...
The factory ones need to be changed every 3-5 years anyways... not the usualy 21 years that they have seen.

You'll need the factory lines for a '95 - they have odd fittings and o-rings. It's not like you can take some 5/16" line and make it work - it won't. They don't cost much at dealer, just get them there.
