1987 300d side mirror adjusts side-to-side?

My driver's side mirror does not seem to adjust side-to-side. I wonder if it is frozen...or if this is just they way they are. It moves up-and-down easily with the manual inside control.

Thanks,

Roy

I was wondering this, too. My w123 only moves up and down. Is your DS mirror auto or manual?

Sounds like he is describing a manual controlled mirror. Try folding the mirror head back and spraying some penetrating oil into the moving parts that you see.

Yes, the DS mirror is manual

And, it moves up and down really well...but, no side-to-side.

Once I am sure it was designed to move side-to-side I'll try to fix it.

Is it designed to move side to side with the inside manual control lever, or do you reach outside and move the actual mirror? Or, was it designed to just adjust up-and-down?

Thanks,

Roy

The control is probably bent.

Recently replace my '88 for this problem.
