Successful Odometer Repair

Kudos to Diesel Giant for the write up on odometer repair. I just did it on my '82 240D. After reading the article I thought I would be getting in over my head but when you sit down and do it, it's pretty straight forward. If anyone else has been thinking about doing it but wasn't sure how difficult it was, it's not that bad. Go for it!

Good for you!
That was a very satisfying repair when I did it.
I want my high-mileage award and like to see those odo miles spin.

I wish someone would do a DIY for the 126 chassis SD's

mine is out, and I hear it is electronic, not mechanical... going to have to replace gears it seems.

Mines electronic too, and I can't seem to find the right gear, all I can find is a 12 tooth gear, and I'm pretty sure mines ether a 13 or 14. (81 300SD)
