Power seat removal-electrical

OK,here is the problem for the day.Trying the pool noodle fix on my seat and I got the bolts out fine but could not get the wires disconnected for the power seats.I unsnapped the flanges on the wires but when I looked inside they still appeared to be connected.I pulled a little but did not want to go gorilla on it till I found out if there was a more suttle way to get them apart.Forgot to add it is a 1982 300SD.Thanks

Thumbs up

Make sure to unbolt the seatbelt bracket to the body?

Not sure what car you are working on - but when doing the pool noodles in a 126 I found it just as easy to not remove the seat from the car.
