On my 1980 300D I have the old style vac pump with one hose going to the air cleaner. The other one goes to the brake booster with 2 nipples before it one going to the top of the valve cover and the other going to a four way which includes a 1. BROWN line which I THINK IS TO THE IGNITION and another to the 2.door lock check valve and the 3. to a GREEN line which I have no clue where it goes. My locks dont work, there are no leaks in any of the elements (I checked) . From nipple which goes to this four way it was showing about 20in of vac. When the four way was connected I checked from the end of the connecter that goes to the door lock check valve and would not show any vac. (by the way locks are not operating)so then I checked the BROWN line and pulled vac on it and it holded it. Then I checked the GREEN one and it would not hold. And to you know on the door lock check valve it has 2 outlets right one which has the cruise control hooked on and the other outlet with a three way one with the vac tank conneted (to the trunk) and the other the suction line. Is this supposed to be like this?
So when I rig it and take out the cruise control from the check valve and hook one outlet to the vac tank and the other outlet to the suction line and directly hook it up to the nipple on the hose coming from the vac poump the locks work.
Im realy not sure how these line are suposed to be arranged in order for everything to work. I need to know where the BROWN line goes to? and the GREEN line whick I cant get to hold Vac.
Anything would help me out THANKS
