expansion valve on 84 300d

I am replacing the AC compressor and accumulator on my 84 300d. I would also like to replace the expansion valve,but am having a hard time finding it. does anybody know where they put the bloody thing. :

It's located under glove box. remove three screws in panel under box, also two pop grommets(grey plastic) midway back on either side. I'm just finishing same job on mine, same year & model bill

It is under the kick panel and behind the glove box on passenger side. pull innards out of glove box, and you will see it staring you in the face.
Much easier to get to than the W126, which is under the drivers side, keeping steering wheel shaft company........
