Sweeet. Looks just like my 240D. I was going to ask if ya'll caught anything, but it really doesn't matter does it. A day off to fish with your son in a beautiful setting like that I wouldn't even tie a fly on. Kick back, talk, and enjoy eachother while you can.

Man, that's a great time! I have teenage daughters. Neither likes to fish, but one will help me work on the MB!

You also have something we here in North Texas need...water in the lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, etc.

I know what you mean there. I have a four y/o daughter that just loves to go out to the garage and help me work on the 300CD. There isnt much she can do but I make her feel like she is a huge help. I know I better cherish these days cause I'm sure the time will come when she doesnt want to have anything to do with stuff like this. Hopefully not though, her Mom, my Wife, doesnt look like she would get greasy but she can rip apart a small block chevy and can tell you the firing order from memeory. I hope my daughter turns out this way too

What were you fishing for? Trout? Thats what i figured judging by the fly rod.

We were supposed to tuna fish this weekend but the tropical storm put a stop to that.

Beautiful scenery out there.

Cheers,

Bill

Nice car, nice state, nice day and fishing? What gets better? Did your son catch anything? Get him hooked quick!

Nice fly rod btw.

We were fishing for Brown Trout, rainbows or whatever might have hit our fly.

we did not catch any fish but had a wonderful time.

Kudos to Mercedes for building such a great automobile... It will go anywhere.
As we were driving to our destination I asked my son if he ever thought we would be going fishing in a $200 car ?.........which cost less than our fishing rods.

I had a pretty successful fishing outing myself. Plenty of rainbow trout, but none over 1.5 lbs. Still a lot of fun. Didn;t fly this time, just used a spincaster with powerbait. Not as cool as flyfishing but at least it worked well that day.

I was about to mention that it looked like an Orvis rig. Here's one a flytying buddy told me, when his wife asked: "What's the difference between a rod and a pole?" Answer: "About $200"

Flyfishing, a man after my own heart.
