Took a stone to the windshield the other day...nice crack developed....have an appointment on Wednesday to replace it.

When I called the glass company they wanted to know if it had the windshield wiper sensor that turns on the wipers and adjusts wiper speed when it rains. I did not know if Mercedes had that option in 98. My 98 does not appear to have the wiring or the sensor behind the rear view mirror mounted on the glass but it does have the clear ports in the tint at the top of the windsheild for mounting one.

I am sure this windshield had been replaced probably a couple of times so the replacement glass probably all have the clear ports in the tint. But I am curious if Mercedes had that option available in 98..?
