83 W123 300D Tach Sensor
Can someone tell if an 83 300D uses this tach sensor and where can it be found in the car? The Tach needle jumps around and I have read that a bad tach sensor unit may be the cause. Thanks

Drivers side fender under hood.
Sticks straight up. The inside pops out with some wrangling and a flat blade srewdriver.
