WOW, What a nice 1987 Mercedes 300TD

For those waiting for a nice 1987 300TD to come along, here is a nice one. Believe it or not, it has only 60K miles! Check it out. What do you think it will go for?
It is a 1987, NOT 1986.

I'm thinking that the 60K might be a bigger positive player than a 3rd row seat, but that's just me........

Thumbs up

Nice and clean, but doens't want to spend $80 for a set of floor mats? I'd be curious where they went.

Alas, it'll bring well over $10K I would wager.

You know what would be fun for us bored dieselheads who are stuck at a deadend job, sitting in a lonely office all day? We should start wagering on the final bids for these old Mercedes. Or do an over/under type bet. I'd put money on it going over $12K.

I'll wager it sells for over $11K. Nice car Even with a little scratch on the rear bumper. I'll bet they replaced the seatpockets

Not that we are really betting because I would not bet, but I will guess less than 10K. I whave been watching for the last few days and prices are down. I am sure it has to do with oil prices dropping. Dropping prices don't bother me because I will be in the market for one in the next year.

Also look at the cracks in the wood at the console. Their is also alot of fade on the seats. Obviously he does not know much about Mercedes because he says it has leather interior, but it is Benz Tex.

I bet it sells for more than $10k due to the low mileage. It really seems to boost the perceived values on the 124 wagons...

Dunno what it will go for, but it appears to have a huge amount of sun damage. It takes forever to fade MB-TEX, but there it is. Must have sat outside nearly it's entire life.

I wonder if they have sufficient records to validate the low mileage?

I'd pass on it - seller has less than desirable feedback.

I frequently see comments (some negative) about not having 3rd row seats in a TD. I can't imagine why anyone would want 3rd row seats, unless they have a large family---they should buy a bus. Enlighten me as to the benefit of 3rd row seating.

Why is the grille missing the vertical strip?
Also how do alloys fade that much?

Anyways it looks nice but the less than stellar description probably means it won't draw in quite as much. I'll say 12-12.5
