My 240D has a tinny rattle...
I not talking about my 8 month old boy here its my 240D. Its some where in the engine compartment. I tried hunting with a stethospcope (ms), but no luck. You guys have any ideas? It sounds like loose sheet metal, but for the life of me I cant find it.
Thanks Jared |

I would second Tom, my resonator is rusted internally so when the rubber exhaust donuts went, it was rattling like a handful of bolts in a paintshaker.

how are your air filter mounts- maybe different, but on my 300td they were gone, making a rattle like little bells. cheap fix.

I checked the exhaust...
No noise there. Its fustrating as hell. If I only had a silent diesel engine, I could find the noise quickly.
