New Style Turbo Switchover Valve
Does any one know the correct way to hook up the new rectangular type turbo switchover valve?
The old one was round and had 2 ports on it. The new style has 3. One on top, one in the middle and one on the bottom next to the electrical hook up. When you do the blow through test, with it out of the car, the middle and bottom ports are free flowing. I need to know which port goes to the ALDA, and which one goes to the banjo bolt on the intake. Thanks!

The bottom goes to the intake manifold banjo bolt.
The "middle" which is actually the horizontal port at the top goes to the ALDA. The "top" which is the vertical port at the top is the vent. |

is there a way to test/clean this switchover valve? In later models, it was eliminated. Is there a risk of running the car without it (1987 300D). And what is the purpose of the vent, in my car it is capped with a plastic cover.

Brian, thanks for the info! That is how I have it hooked up. There were no instructions, so I guessed at it.
Thanks!
