I have used several differant kinds.

the mann fits well, and has an additional steel mesh screen. the purolator is the same dimentions and material, even the same # of pleats, but without the mesh. STP is by farr the worst version I found. easilly 1/2 " too short. and the seals are much harder. I don't feel the extra mesh is needed. the air horn is protected by an identical mesh, so having a second mesh on the filter seems like overkill and an air impedance.
I have not tried the wix filter yet, but I really like the purolator, so if the napa/wix filter is more expensive, I will stick with purolator.

I normally just order a Mann here. I usually end up ordering one for each car when I'm buying other stuff and want to get my order total over $100 for free shipping.
