1995 300d wont start

i have a 1995 300d and it seems to be loosing prime some how. sometimes it craks up just fine but sometimes it seems to lose its prime and yo have to turn it over about ten times before she fires. I have had a mech. do a fuel line presure test and he said it was alright. i have checked the glow plugs replaced primer pump, air and fuel filter and the problem is still happening.

Sometimes the GP's will test OK but will actually need to be replaced. Have you had any issues with your GP light?

Check your plastic fuel lines for minute bubbles. Probably need a very bright light light as they are VERY small.

The plastic lines rely on o-rings to provide a seal which deterioate. Begining of problems is air entering system and hard starts as IP tries to evcuate the air, followed by fuel leaks and no start as leaks gets worse.

There are about 5-7 lines from in and around the fuel filter housing to the IP.

Also check IP delivery valve seals for fuel leaks on top of IP. Same issue.
