Kickdown switch adjustment
Is there a height adjustment for the kickdown switch?
I installed my new floor mats finally and decided while I was down there to see if the switch works. It does press down and pop back up, with no signs if hesitation. When I moved the accelerator down, it misses the switch by a hair. That would explain why no kickdown when I mash the pedal to pass. Thanks!

There is no adjustment in the switch itself. You need to look at the pedal linkage. Your not getting full pedal travel.

Quote:
The kickdown electrical system is as simple as it gets. 12v to the switch which closes and supplys power to the solonoid on the trans. The solonoid is grounded to the transmission housing.
