And, the hood star is of W124 series if I am not mistaken. Looks like the present owner and the car have been in the sun much too long!!!

Mine looks better than that, and it's real leather...with an additional 44K miles...mostly city driving...mostly in New Orleans!

As for the veg oil system, what an I missing? If it's a one-tank system how do you start up without starting on cold veg oil?
The car is in Los Angeles, it does not get that cold here, one tank systems seem to be common here,I don't have one so have no idea if they work ok or not.

did you guys notice that it does not even have the driver side kick panel? he took a high angle shot of the steering wheel and instrument panel to avoid it being obvious.

Did they keep a wolverine in the car?

But seriously look at the Odometer, reading of 150501, the middle 505 is a totally different color, which is impossible with out munipulation, period end of story. (unless it spent the last 10 years outside at 149xxx)

Buy it for what it is, but that is not what it is being sold as.

Believability factor of ZERO.

actually that makes me wonder if instrument gauge is original. Didn't they get rid of the silver gauge buttons in '83 and switch to straight flat black?

"We're getting calls weekly about a seller, John (Jon) Harrison "auto_usa" on Ebay "Green Benz" on his business card. His location is listed as "Hollywood, Ca."People believe they are buying cars from him, that were converted by Lovecraft Biofuels. We don't work with John in any way, shape, or form. In addition, we are working with at least 3 people that feel they were ripped off by him, and are currently organizing a lawsuit. In one case, the same car was sold to two different people, both paying in full, with no refund. He maintains good feedback, by threatening to return negative feedback left for him, or, promising a refund, as the time expires to leave negative feedback. Cracked dash

The dash is cracked -- it shows in only one photo, the one with the view of the instrument cluster taken thru the steering wheel. Looks like that dreaded blue color (like mine ) that cracks so badly.

Three things raise significant concern for me. First, the engine bay paint is too clean. Second, the driver's side hood line is not straight. Third, there appears to be overspray on the cowling trim. What this means to me is that the front end was damages so much so that the engine had to be removed to repair it. Other things that bolster that are the inconsistent engine parts, such as the coolant tank.

Where is the disclosure for that?

Final thing that bugs me is the bidding. While the identities are not disclosed, the unsuccessful bid amounts are. They are almost all round numbers, which is not consistent with my observations of bidding histories. I rarely use round numbers myself.

Glad to see the post.

This means my daughters 83 240D is worth about $12,000.00. Comparing this car to the condition of my daughters car.

Three more for the record...

-Antenna is missing (housing is there, rest isn't)
-Passenger mirror missing
-Back hubcaps are ivory, front are white with red ring

Looks fishy to me

Right mirror was an option in the early years. Mine does not have one.

Antenna may just be pushed down so it can't be seen. My 1985 came that way and my mechanic fixed it. Something about lifting up the assembly inside the trunk and tightening a loose bolt.
