Nuff said. I'd like to see the buyer try to but bio in there...

I don't understand why they always say "converted to use biodiesel"? There is no conversion necessary to use biodiesel in these cars

Especially this one, since it is a gasser. Maybe they are thinking of E100 (Moonshine)

Just a little play on words: It says convert to bio diesel not converted. Making the assumption the buyer could put a diesel in if he wanted

Ah screw it - put some biodiesel in there and see what happens BEFORE you give the guy a check.

Right, I'm gonna take out the 450 gas engine and put in a diesel engine to convert to bio-diesel? Maybe if he gave it to me for free...on second thought, maybe he'd have to pay me $9K for taking off his hands...

You know, we are always looking for new uses for Bio. Has anyone ever actually tried to run it in a gas engine??? Maybe this guy is just way ahead of the rest of us!

Oh yeah, all sorts have tried. You were kidding, right? Nothing about biodiesel, higher flash point, higher autoignition point, not in the least volotile, lends itself to use in a spark-ignition engine. All it will do is lower your octane and cause knocking.

Yes, I was kidding. Then again, what if I took some B100, mixed in some DSE and said the magic chant?

I'm in an e-mail discussion with the guy now. He seems to think you just do a minor conversion, like different fuel nozzles and such. I'm waiting for another reply after I gave him the basic differences between gas and diesel engines.

Maybe it has a second engine in the trunk that is a diesel. With recent diesel prices it would be well worth it.

Surely he swaps in a diesel motor for the summer when gas is higher than diesel (roadtrip season and no need for heating oil) and then puts the gasser back in for the winter.
