Basic 116 diesel question
I have a lead on a 80 SD, I know nothing about it yet. Assuming the car was mechanically sound and cosmetically above average, can someone throw out a realistic value if the car had 100k, 200k or 300k miles?
thanks Fred

A shot in the dark...say $2000-$4000 does it have any rust or is it a local Texas car?

If it has usual rust, it ain't worth having. Being down here your odds are better. With no rust you can go anywhere above $1500 based on usual stuff. Looks like you're familiar with the W116 though....

I feel comfortable checking it out, I just have no point of reference to diesel values. I know I could probably get 6500 (I hope!) for my 6.9, it has 150k, no rust, a few cosmetic issues, sound mechanicals.
thanks Fred
