Mechanically injected remote start systems?

do any such systems exist to remotely start a Mechanically controlled diesel engine?

Well mechanically controlled engines use electric starters to start them, right? Seems simple enough to me.

Yeah, it sounds relatively simple, but then you have to also take into account glowplugs and the current ambient temps and the vaccum shut off diaphram..so the next question is....When you're Mercedes is running, and you turn the key to the off position, it's rerouting vaccume to the diaphram. with a new diaphram, is it going to HOLd that vaccum? The dilemma is somehow diverting vaccume without the pump operating to allow the diaphram to open the rack and allow starting. and what of those cars that need variable glow times for the prevailing tempuratures? I guess, if your car is healty enough to use a remote starter then those would be non- issues..

Some remote start systems will have a starter delay function. To allow the system to start/stop the engine you can use a simple vacuum valve to vent the vacuum to the shutoff valve.
