Fuel gauge finally bit the dust
I've been having problems with my fuel gauge for a couple of months, it would fluctuate constantly, but today it's stopped at R (maybe because it's Friday the 13th ) Is this usually a problem with the gauge itself, or is it mostly a sender problem? I do have vegetable oil in the main tank, and the problem with the guage seemed to coincide with the start of using that fuel, so I am thinking something is stuck on the tank end of it, but not certain. I've got to drive to Orlando tomorrow, so it would be nice to have a working fuel gauge. Any advice would be appreciated.

if you find B100, put that in your tank, and it may clean it up.
VO is kinda gunky, so that sure could contribute to the problem, but theese old cars' senders fail constantly. B100 is supposed to clean up tons of stuff, it may solve, at least temporarily the situation.

It's never been removed, becuase I don't know where it is. I think on the old body you could access it from the rear ledge, but not sure about the W124. If anybody knows how to get in there, let me know.

How do you get the instrument cluster out of this car? The previous owner tried to get it out to fix the odometer, and messed up the dash, and still wasn't able to pull it out.
