My power steering pump fluid level keeps rising while my hydraulic suspension level keeps dropping. Is there a seal kit I can buy to remanufacture the pump on my own? I have the self-leveling suspension system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thats not possible, they are completely separate systems/pumps. They use different fluids too. I doubt your PS/pump is "creating" fluid....

You probably have a leak in the leveling system somewhere, check all around under the rear suspension and look for leaks.

I see your point, but I know the pump pumps fluid for both the power steering and the suspension...or at least I thought it did. Anyway, I cleaned out both my power steering resivoir and the suspension hydralic fluid tank, changed the filters and filled both with the propper fluids. after about two weeks, the power steering fluid was dirty looking and filled to the top of the resivoir. I emptied the power steering, filled to the propper level, and in two weeks the same dirty fluid right to the top of the resivoir....Could there be an internal pump seal that is broke/leaking causing the fluids to mix?

Did you flush the power steering system? Replacing only what's in the reservoir isn't an effective way to clean the system.

No I didn't. How do you flush the power steering system? Remove the lines and let it drain?

Tut-tut! On the 603s it's in the same pump. As well as 103s.



Oh, but the reseal kit for the pump is maybe $4 with a new front seal.

Your tandem oil pump may be leaking oil into the p/s side of the pump.

I thought the tandem pump had an internal leak which is causing the two fluids to mix. Is there a kit to rebuild the tandem pump?

Myself and a few others have rebuilt the pump, there are some extra seals associated with it we could not figure out where they went. Could be for the SLS pump or a different style unit.

Worst case you're out $4 and a trip to the local hardware store in serach of the proper o-ring(s).
