Valve job and a remote starter
so i printed out the valve adjusment pages off my FSM, and notice that they recommend using a remote starter switch to tur over the enigne while doing a valve job.
so i made one. i picked up a push button starter switch at checker, as well as a pair of clamps. with some wire i had at home, i got a switc for about $8.50. made the valve job very easy. well, at least the turning of the motor part of it. the fsm shows where to clip on for different cars. on my 123.193 it is right in front of the battery. a 3 way junction. clip to middle and forward of the three.

Pos of starter and solenoid. It's easy. I do the same on the cars from the Bavarian Motor Works.

I like the power steering pulley nut. No chance of getting any body part stuck anywhere.
