Engine Shocks? Needed? What's the Opinion on these?
While changing out my oil lines, I noticed that both my engine shocks were shot, or at least the mounts were, so I removed them. A good idea to replace? Motor mounts are new, how much will new shocks set me back? I assume that they come with mounts, i.e., one piece? Thanks Guys! Oh, my car is a '82 300 SD

Shocks and mounts are seperate, they get pretty spendy... pretty fast. They make a large difference in smoothing out the idle.
You can get JUST the upper mount if you like, but if you're that far in, I'd drop the rest of the cash for a complete kit. |
the shocks can be checked just like the car shocks. sometimes you can get away with just the rubber parts.

I'll look into these, as I recently(ish) did engine mounts(sides and the T-mount in center) but it didn't do very much to keep the car from bobbling from side-to-side!
Thanks for the reminder:) |
