81 - 300sd Heat works in front, blows cold...
 

With the heat on, my 81-300sd blows nice warm/hot air in front, but blows COLD air through the central vent of the back seat (the one behind and below the armrest).

What's up with that? Is this operator malfunction or something I can fix?

Don,

I believe that this is the design of the system. Center vents in the dash and the console vents are for only non-heated air. The heated vents are under your seats. I keep the rear console vents closed unless someone is in the back seat and the A/C is on.
