b99 in 92 300d?
I'm looking into a 92 300d with 167k.
I live in Austin, TX - a town with lots of biodiesel "off the shelf" - including a handful of b99 pumps. I would like to run my car on that fuel, is there any reason I couldn't do that with a '92 300d? Is there anything I might want to look out for? Any advice would be appreciated? THANKS. |

There is a possibilty that you may get a fuel filter clogging from past diesel crud built up in your tank. I had gone on my original filter for about 5K miles before it clogged. (clogged on the way home after the sacramento gtg) The other possibility is fuel lines leaking but i havent had a problem so far with that.
You should be fine as long as you keep a spare fuel filter and tool to change it just incase.
