Looking for a spare fuel level sender

Hi,

I am looking for a fuel level sender for my auxillary tank. Does anybody have a spare that they would like to sell? Too many medical bills to buy a new one now.

Thanks

Why not go pull one from a junkyard?

There are NO u-pull-it junk yards where I live.

Around here, if you want anything unusual from a junkyard it will cost you about $100 for anything if they have to pull it and the yard man expects a tip on top of that.

Frustrating, isn't it? NJ is *mostly* the same way. Plenty of junkyards around here, if you want parts for a 96 Nissan, 2001 Ford Focus, or a Hyundai. Older Mercedes? Yeah right.

Even worse.. most of the yards in NJ seem to be full of "junkyard trash".. and I'm not talking about the cleanliness of the place. Lots of perverted dirty yardworkers who try to rip you off for everything, has one hell of a mouth on them, and outright demand a tip, on top of it all. I gave up on NJ junkyards, after the last guy told me (in a non-joking, deadpan manner) he wanted "something for his time", despite the fact that I had to go pull the part myself... AND the fact that he tried to charge me $40 for a used window switch.

Any good junkyards within travelling distance from Ocean County, NJ.. or for the thread starter, NY?
