TD SLS system leaks what fluid is cheap?

I want to fill the system up with a cheap fluid just for testing while I find the leak that is on the system. PO told me it was leaking at the shock, but with NO fluid in the system, I need to fill it up and search out the leak. can I use cheap Tractor Hydrolic oil? 5 gallons for 15.00 as opposed to 10.00+/ liter for MB sls fluid.
what do you think? how much trouble to drain out the wrong stuff once the leak is found and repaired?
Any problem using the cheap stuff indefinitely?
Help.
tons of SLS threads, but none could point me any way but MB fluid.
John

Look harder..try searching on my user name: R Leo and use SLS, tractor as keywords. I've posted alternate fluid info on this site more than once.

Here's one: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=108629&highlight=hydraulic
