Sound OK to buy?
I am wondering if this car (1983 300 td wagon) sounds like too much of a headache/expense??: hydraulic suspension does not work but car drives fine, engine shut off does not work, steering box has a seep coming from the adjusting bolt when car is running, AC not working (plug is gone to compressor), there is a creaking (chatter) sound from the right front passenger side under the seat area of the front passenger side.
Nothing else "not working" and no rust but needs painting. Car is priced about $1800 under the usual. Thanks! |

Define hydraulic suspension does not work - Sags? Bouncy?
Paint aside, $1800 will not cover getting these items fixed by a reputable shop. Should more than cover parts costs if you do the heavy wrenching. Sixto 93 300SD |

For sale at $1800.00 would be more like it.
Suspension can get pricey...sphere's...... pump...controller etc. Paint ? How about $3500.00 for one befitting a Mercedes. Engine shut off...vacuum pump bad..$300.00.... other vacuum problems...who knows? A/c blown ? $250.00 plus for a compressor......if it was a plugged system..ie: blockage caused overpressure, you'll spend another $500.00 plus, putting it right...may have used sealer in the system....that screws 'em up totally. Like I said...$1800.00...'SOLD' to that man over there ! .
