I had an R350 this summer when my E300 was in the shop. For the most part it was nice, however, due to the rake of the windshield the sun visors were useless because they were just above my forehead. This also pushes the moon roof back; yuck. The fuel economy was depressing.....17mpg. I wonder how the diesel will perform.

The CDI SUV's get excellent fuel mileage. I believe the R gets 27 on the freeway. The word on the street is the mileage gets better after the first 50K miles. I really want a CDI based SUV. I would prefer the ML or GL but if I have to I will get a Grand Cherokee. Just depends on what I can afford when I want and or need it bad enough.

Parked next to one a recently at school, campus cruiser for sure. NY plates, probably a city car, they don't last long.
