Smile tips for tranny removal and install

I am putting a rebuilt tranny in my 300d turbo. I am mostly looking for an easy way to get the two bolts on top of the bellhousing. Also anyone got any tips for the dash lights fuses are good. Thanks!!

Remove the rear transmission mount and lower the rear of the tranny as far as it will go. Get an extension that is about three or four feet long and you should be able to ge to the top two fasteners.

Question Ride height of 83 300D turbo

My 300D looks like it has a lift kit on it. I dont know if they came like this or if something is wrong. My 78 300D looks normal and does not have 4-5 inches of clearance between the fender and tire, others I have seen dont look this high. It rides stiffer too.

Why did I not think of that, this would also allow for easier starter removal too. Thanks.

Actually, there are pads on top of the springs, and they come in different thicknesses. They have little triangle notch things on them for identification of thickness. Seems like 4 notches is the thickest.
