I went today to look at a champagne/brownn 84 300SD - wife nixed it for cosmetic reasons, though I sorta liked it I'm gonna hold out for a black or anthracite grey model I think. I posted my 300D in the For Sale forum for $3000 in case anyone is looking for one - If I sell it then maybe I can spend a little more for one of the better kept SDs.

I really like the 123....I hope I don't regret the switch, but just want to try the larger car for a change.

While I miss the nimbleness and crisper feeling of my W123, the W126 drives and rides like 'a Mercedes should' IMHO. Heavy and substantial feeling, and has a presence when you drive up, even my 20 year old SDL has curb appeal, people say "OOH! Mercedes!" I always reply, "Yes with 266,000 Miles" Their jaws drop!
