That particular firearm, a Taurus PT1911, was actually my Christmas present from my wife, and has three separate safety features- Manual slide lock after it's cocked, grip safety that he cannot get around because you have to have good sized hands for it, and I use my brain: I don't have a round chambered, in fact there isn't even a single round in the thing, I was seeing how I liked the fit of the drop leg holster.
