The box end wrenches with the built-in ratchet is the perfect tool. 8mm to get the nuts, 12mm to pull the plugs. And 13mm to drive the reamer.

Yours might be ok, but I had some bad results after using a Harbor Freight "float charger" on my SD and my 300TE.
Fried the voltage regulator on the TE I think....
