Fuel filter for 2006 E320 CDI

Does anyonw know where I can purchase a fuel filter for my 2006 E320 CDI --- beside the dealier? I've tried our parts section in the shopforum nothing.

As far as the car goes --- WONDERFUL !!!! Fuel economy is typically 33-38 mpg and the pick-up is something that everyone should experience.

Thank you in advance.

Call Phil, that car is pretty new, there may simply be no aftermarket anything.

I'm guessing it will remain a dealer only item for a little while till there are more on the road and its worthwhile for after market companies to produce them....

3pointstar,

When you do change the filter be sure not change to worm style hose clamps. They have all torn the fuel lines and became leakers. Even reusing the oem clamps we have had some comebacks and have had to replace the fuel lines at the filter.

From now on I'll only use OEM Dealer filters on my '98. I never thought there was a difference until I bought one from the dealer recently and compared it with the Mehle filter the PO had used. The sealing gasket is definitely different and superior on the OEM filter and it only cost $13 from the dealer anyway so it is really stupid to use anything else.

Why don't you want to buy your filter from the dealer? I mean you're driving a relatively new car that cost about $50K new so it can't be the money?
