This does not look right to me
 

I found this car on ebay. It is listed as an 85 but I have never seen a 300D with the turbo sitting up that high. I am not well versed in CA cars but I ran the VIN on computer and it does not say it is a CA car. I know the engines are exactly the same from 82-85 with other years working also. What am I missing here? I am mainly used to 82, 83, and 84, never looked at an 85.

I bought my '82 from this guy. Good guy to deal with. Everyone there is actually pretty nice.

The 85 did have the air cleaner moved towards the front of the car. The '85 federal adopted the '84 Califunia emissions control setup.

So all 85's are set up like this? I noticed the turbos only show to work on late 84's and 85.

AFIK, the US spec cars are setup that way. I think that is when they introduced the trap ox. I do not know about the interchagability of the turbos with a different year model.

The Driver Fender and door dont match color with the rest of the car

Its a Cal. car, exactly like mine. Same color and interior.
