O-ring material for Delivery Valve Seals
I am getting ready to replace the delivery valve seals on my '84 190D 2.2. I ordered some stuff from Fastlane, but I mistakenly only ordered 1 of the O-rings instead of the 4 I need. I want to get the job done by the weekend, so re-ordering from Phil won't get them here in time.
However, I can get metric O-rings locally, and I know what size I need. What I don't know is which material (Buna-N, Viton, Neoprene, etc.) will be best for this application. Does anyone have a recommendation for which material to use? SteveM.

Viton seems to be the consensus here if you search past posts.

O ring sizes.
The rings are 15mm on the I.D., and 19mm on the O.D. I just order 100 of them from McMaster Carr. I got the Buna-N style, which are compatible with diesel fuel.
Send me a PM with your address, and I'll mail you 10 of them, free of charge. SteveM.
