'87 300D Turbo Wheel Alignment

Does anyone know where to find the wheel alignment specifications for a 1987 300D Turbo? The local alignment shop referenced this model year car as a "black market" car and only dealers have the specifications for alignment. Is this true?

I think he just didn't want to do it.

Most Wheel alignment machine companies have the alignment specs for EVERY vehicle that EVER rolled out of a factory from 1945, to present.

Wheel alignments are fairly simple, and I'm sure that any tecnician with a shred of integrity would be able to align your car.

Are you sure you need an alignment? how old are your tires?
I had a set on the front that cause the car to pull right...

I recently replaced the control arms, tie rods, springs, and struts. So there is a need to get the front end aligned. I was referred to the alignment shop by another MB owner with a 300D Turbo, though different model year. I'll check with another alignment shop. Thanks.

I have yet to find a "normal alignment shop" that will touch my 87 300d as it requires a four whell alignment. My indy mechanic will do it and so will the dealer.

I believe it is because these cars have adjustable caster, camber and toe. And since caster and camber interact with each other, it takes a little more finesse to get it into alignment.

Many "alignment" shops only know how to set toe which just about anybody can do with a string and tape measure. (Final toe should be done with a spreader bar to load the suspension.)
