603 - why does the IP timer bolt have left hand threads?
Why does the IP timer bolt have left hand threads?. The crank and the cam have the same sprocket arrangement and turn the same direction but they have right hand threads.

I too was curious as the IP timer spins that way.

Is it the same reason the left pedal threads onto the crank (on a bicycle) that way (the rotation the pedal makes while riding is counter-clockwise and could unthread itself if it had normal threads)
