Biggest joke on Ebay

Is this not the biggest joke you've ever seen on Ebay.

the picture style is similar to the scammer in florida that lists cleaned up junk for big bucks. notice the white square over the plates. maybe he moved?
I am not a detail freak, so I don't see what is funny about this listing. the wheels are a bit gaudy, and the engine compartment is pretty dirty. is the price out of line? it is out of my budget, but I don't know this line very well at all.

The steering wheel is a bit cracked up for an always garaged car.
I have seen MUCH BIGGER jokes on ebay.

The car looks like crap, has after market wheel rims, exhaust, stereo and lets not forget 230k on it. And this guy thinks its worth a minimum of 17k.

The wheels, tint and sound system don't improve the value to me. But looking at the 210 forum on Benzworld, they are apparently very popular with a number of 210 owners. Still, a seller can't expect 100% return on these modifications, since the buyer may have chosen different aftermarket parts.

I'd give less than $12K for the car with that many miles, with the OEM parts intact. Considering that I don't want those wheels or the DVD player, that cuts what I'm wiling to give to the point where the offer would never be accepted.

Assuming that there really is a 3.5K sound system, minus .5K for the OEM stuff, and say 2k in wheels and tires, minus another 1K for the OEM wheels and tires, we get 4.5K in "upgrades." If someone wanted the car as it is, or would modify it to look like that anyway, the price is only a few thousand too high (assuming 50% return on the aftermarket parts).

License plate say it all. Even though it's from Missouri, this one should read "Misery"

Feel better post

I always like looking at model like mine. When I look at that one, I feel so much better about my own.

It would sell well here in New Orleans with those 22's (or equivalent) on there. So important to the car that they merited 4 individual photos.

That car is a pos, the in dash navi and DVD player is rather nice. If I had an extra $2k laying around I would be tempted to put something like that in the SDL.

Its an $8k car on a good day.

I see little wrong with the car. Other than the ghastly wheels and the overkill stereo, it looks okay to me.

Agreed.

I noticed the second F on the climate control panel is missing-- what gives? How much should be deducted to replace that? Shouldn't the front-end have been resprayed for the car to net 'perfect' retail price? Shouldn't the car be pristine to even come near book value with those miles?

I saw a 1998 neon exactly like mine for sale locally, 10k less miles(135k) and the dealer wanted...... $4,995.00!!! Maybe anything that gets over 30mpg has increased in value of late?
