Red 1995 E300 Diesel?

Hey guys, found a red 1995 E300 Diesel on ebay...here's the link even though the auction is over:
(ebay)

Just wondering, is this an original color for the car? I've seen E500s like this before but never have i seen such a bright red on a Mercedes, let alone a diesel.

Mileage looks good, price is (was) right, car is clean....man i wish i had picked this one up.

I've seen 94/95 E320 in that color before, but never an E300D.

Figures, beautiful car, no engine shot.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy it without seeing the engine compartment ... but nonetheless the engine is running and shows temp/oil pressure in the pic of the gauge cluster

I'd just like to see if it's clean under the hood cause i know i'd be working under there quite a bit :D
Luckily my E300's engine is quite clean, i've seen some with moss-looking stuff on them, around the oil cap particularly

from the look of the sunroof and door jams the paint looks original. either that or he spent a good amount of cash to change the color.

Probably original

My brother just bought a '95 E320 Gasser for his daughter after his '92 350SDL was totalled, by being rear-ended again in a month.

Same color as what you have there. His is immaculate, low miles, garaged and all records for the one handicapped owner (major curb rash though).

I would have to say that its a real diesel. In the pic for the dash/cluster, it does show the glow plug. But i have never seen a red e300d, but doesn't mean that one could have been ordered. Just my opinion though.
