Fuel Leak
Hello all,
Let me begin by saying that this forum rocks. I have learned so much from the guys on this forum. Thank you. I have a quick question. I found a fuel leak on my 98 E300 TD. I believe it is coming fromthe delivery valve. I think I will need to change the Orings. How hard is it to change the Orings. Is there something that I should know before attempting to change it or is this something that you guys would recommend that a shop do? Thanks |

It's not too bad a job...first you need to remove the intake manifold which is detailed on steps 1-4 of LightMan's excellent write-up:

Then you'll need to perform this procedure (it is for a different model but the same replacement process so just ignore the initial steps which are to gain access to the injector pump...you will have already done that by following steps 1-4, above): http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/OM602InjPumpFuelLeak
