I think we've seen a thread or two on that fine example of what not to do to a car.

It needs a mural of the Virgin Mary on the hood and a horn that plays La Cucaracha to complete the appearance.

Is this a parody of a low rider or what?
It might even cost more to undo that mess and bring it back to a normal condition, paint tires and interior, alone, than the car is worth. So in a way as it sits, it is what the Insurance companies would call a driveable total loss.

That's been up before - surprisingly, it didn't sell the first time.

Lowrider
The gold-plate is nice, but I think the folks from Stutgart ought to consider making the upholstery and hydraulic bumper-humper system a "contrabandista special" option package in their new V-12 coke-mobiles. They'd sell particularly well between West LA and Houston.

Yes, it's pretty sad how older Mercedes are being treated these days.
Just look in these forums. So many questions from folks with Chevy knowledge only trying to apply those principles to Mercedes and not even bothering to own the service manual and asking the most basic questions. The old ones are being euthanized before there time in many cases.

hate to be the contrarian but...
That is F#%^&#$ AWESOME !!!!! Dollar Green and Gold trim/ white interior.
I am gonna get it!!!!! That is exactly the color scheme i wanted to update my beater 300SD with... I think there is no shame to breath back life into an old beast; at least the car looks alive and well. Same discussion than with the indonesian W123. If the diesel engine is fine that is a nice conversation piece and certainly a head turner.
