If you only knew her I think you would agree that the missus is much more valuable than ALL of our cars combined, if you get my sentiment.
I was kinda hoping to gain from someone else's experience about going the donation route. The thing is I am crazy about both of these cars and all their peculiarities. The Oldsmobile speedometer that progressively changes color upon acceleration thru the super smooth 4 speed hydromatic slimjim tranny. It is a real sleeper cause it looks like Granny's grocery getter, mild on the takeoff but tops out at better than 110mph which is a fast as I dared (although the engine seemed to have headroom to spare) I have the window stickers for both the 240D and the Dynamic 88 along with any receipts tucked away in the files or boxed away somewhere. Realistically the Olds will need prep and paint, upholstery repair, and TLC. The Benz on the other hand just needs to be driven as you all know. It is a good driver but as a winter project I had planned to redo the steering linkage, replace the brake lines, refresh the vaccuum lines, and then have TriStar R&R the timing chain and tensioner, and of couse adjust the valves for good measure. Not sure how much of that if any I will be doing now... Decision, decisions...
