First let me apologize if this is a dumb question, but I'm not too familiar with turbo compatability. Can I replace the stock turbo on my OM606 with a different turbo? I was thinking maybe replacing mine with the new turbo that is on the E320CDI engine.

Has anyone done a stock to aftermarket turbo replacement to their OM606? Thanks for any help.

You will have to fabricate an adapter plate, new oil supply/drain lines, and a new exhaust.

I am about to mount a GT22V from a 2.7L Sprinter on my engine.

Do a search for VNT, GT22V, and VGT

Will the ECM like it tho?

It should show little different than a normal turbo. It will only give the engine boost alot sooner.

It MIGHT have an effect on the EGR flow because of the different exhaust pressure and boost pressure habits the turbo will have.

Good luck finding a GT23V (E320 CDI turbo) for under $400.
