another 123 hvac control question
i am still thinking of converting the system on my 82 300cd to manual. so does the automatic system have the split heater core like the manual systems? and just have them tied together?
i hope, i hope. tom w

if my CCU ever fries or something I'd probably think about doing that too.....then again.....I pour all my money into my car as it is....so I'd probably just buy a new CCU.... oh well. So the pit drives on.

changing from CC to manual on a 77 w 123 300d
I'm in the middle of taking the cc out of my 77 300d and putting in a manual out of a 84 230 E ( Euro import conversion ). The pieces all fit on both 123 bodies but the wiring is totally diferent and the Housings are not interchangeable. the A/C evap and fittings are not compatable. I have the manual housing in using the harness from that one and have the heater and fan working so far but it's NOT AN EASY JOB !!!!!!
hope you have the time it's a lot more than I thought. Tom |

i had this done on my 280e euro. we changed it from a manual heat control system to a manual control heat/ ac. it all had to come out. it was a huge job. i paid my indie about 1500 to do it. ten years ago at least. now it would be over 2k i am sure.
