a/c and stereo, related problem or couincidence?

hey guys hope you can help me out on this one.

My cd head unit had stopped working, so last night i decided to try to figure out why. If found that the yellow cable wasnt getting power and not allowing the deck to turn on when the key is turned. So i bypassed it and connected the yellow cable from the deck to the power, that way even if the key is out of the ignition the radio will still turn on.

But i stupidly didnt disconnect the battery and accidently had the power cable touch the decks metal housing cause a fuse to pop and the interior lights to turn off. So i replaced the fuse and disconnected the battery, plugged everything back up and wrapped the cables in electrical tape. The radio didnt turn on so my guess is i fried it

So went to best buy to look at some new decks, but then i realized my heater wasnt blowing heat! i could feel the heat coming through the vents but the blower motor wasnt blowing.

After about 5miles of leaving the a/c button pushed on the blower motor started working and everything was fine.
Didnt find a deck i liked at best buy so on the drive home, same thing pushed the button and no hot air blowing. just heat coming from the vents.

So i set it on cold and then the blower motor kicked in and blew cold air, moved it to warm and it blew warm air like normal?
Could this have something to do with the fuse pop from the power cable touching the radio's housing?

But a good thing came out of this as well, the a/c never blew cold just cool. But now it blows ice cold

please give in your thoughts.

Now it seems to slowly blow warm air with the button on off

And it seems to be killing my fuel economy!
