617 head bolt ????

I have the specs for the large 12 pointheat bolts, but I need the torque spec for the 4 -8mm hex bolts. The 2 bolts that are down in the chain well and the 2 bolts on the pump side of the head. Help, Jay

I don't believe the Benz manual covers those four screws. Standard specs. are as follows: If they are 8mm & a strength of 8.8, the torque is 9-14 ft. lbs or 13-19 Nm. I probably went a little further to 20-25 ft lbs. Paul.

Paul and everyone. I made a mistake. The bolt has an 6MM hex head, not an 8MM. Is the torque the same???? Also, I can see the numbers 8 8 stamped onto the top of the bolt. Thanks, Jay

Sorry for the long time for the reply. I believe the thread size is 8mm even though the allen wrench size is 6mm. Paul.
