Rear seat back removal?
I did a search and didn't find this. I need to put my rear deck back in so I need to get the rear seat out. I have pulled on it a few ways but no luck. I know some of you tha have stripped these down will know. How do i remove the rear seat back? Thanks

easy
there are two red button things on the seat bottom.. click those in and the bottom comes off. then there are like 5 or 6 bolts along the bottom edge and inside the arm rest area. Once those are out lift up and over the lip the rear seat back is set onto. then.. to do the parcel shelf properly remove the C pillar covers because they are in the way. plus take note how the old one came out and the new one will go in since there is like a lip there |

Yep, be gentle with the seats as you take them out, the fabric that is stitched to the MB-Tex at the edges tends to get weak and brittle, its easy to punch a few fingers through it. The backrest of the back seat can be a pain to get out, just make sure ALL of the bolts are out before you yank it out. It will lift straight up with a few forceful tugs upward, then out. Like don said, the bottom has the red buttons. When putting the bottom back in, make sure it is all the way back as far as it can go, then push down on it hard, and the buttons will catch and latch it back up.
Maybe I am just repeating Don, but I mainly just wanted to inform you of the fragile fabric found behind the seats. |
